Cheerful hotel, it has exceptionally GOOD views and particularly good location next to a tram line offering easy access to everything. The rooms are stylish and new-fashioned with a safe box, central heating and an electronic key card.

The room we had included an individual safe, central heating, and an electronic key card. The bed was very clean for those with back pain. We truly enjoyed good service.

Amazing value for money, clean and comfortable room, friendly and caring staff. The location was excellent, just a short walk away from the bustling center of town.
The breakfast offerings could be improved with more variety and options.

The front desk manager was pleasant.
The hotel was not worth what we Piaf which was 95 euros a night. I had seen on reviews that the hotel had steep stairs, but I am a healthy 22 year old and even I found them pretty challenging. The room was tiny we could literally touch both walls. The shower and the toilet are on separate floors. The facilities were tiny and dirty, the tile was cracked, and there was mold everywhere. The room wasn't especially clean, and I didn't have proper sheets on my bed... The list is endless. I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel. The hostels that we stayed in were a much better bang for your buck.

We have actually been to another hotel (a branch on the other coast), where rooms have toilet and where otherwise all checks for both hotela.Staff is very kindly and obligingly. our happiness to the volcano started working so we got a good room :) is a great location, just minutes from downtown 15 min on foot. main street with shops on the 10 min walk and a place for going out (near American hotel). all in all - if you don't spend much time in the room - this hotel is the place for you.
Stairs are extremely steep and narrow (a pity that the luggage of guests do not enter through the windows:)), if you have bad luck and get a room in the basement - you will have no room to turn (we change such a room), but again it was Amsterdam and not to expect more ...

We had a fantastic time at Townhouse! The location was amazing, right by a beautiful canal in a bustling area. Our room was bright and clean, and the price was very affordable. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, even taking us to a local bar. I highly recommend this hotel for a great stay in Amsterdam.

Friendly staff, great location
Comfort: The mattress was very thin so sleeping there turned out to be quite a painful experience. Cleanness: The bed sheets wouldn't be changed unless you asked for it.

The room was great if you judge by the stars and standard. It was clean, the neighbourhood was quiet, we had a big and clean shower in the room. Even the join facilities were very clean.
Be careful on stairs - very steep!

The staff at the reception were very helpful and friendly. It is excellently situated beside a canal with pleasant shops and bars close by.
The rooms were very small and basic, worthy of a hostel rather than a hotel. The bathroom facilities were more than a little worse for wear (flaky paint, poorly finished off etc).
